Description
The animation shows microtubuli polymerization. Microtubules (green) are part of the cytoskeleton, providing structure and shape to eukaryotic cells, as well as aiding in cellular transport and motility. Microtubules are formed by the addition of alpha and beta-tubulin dimers to the growing polymer, arranging themselves into the characteristic hollow tube shape.
