Description
The image shows immune cell interaction. A dendritic cell (turquoise with red fragments), increases its surface area through the optimization of cell-to-cell contacts. APCs are a heterogeneous population of leukocytes with exquisite immunostimulatory capacity. Dendritic cells, which can be found in the secondary follicles of the B cell areas of the lymph nodes and spleen, can present antigen molecules (purple) to B cells but lack class II MHC molecules.
