Description

This animation depicts the Ras/MAPK intracellular signaling pathway. This pathway is important for controlling cellular functions such as proliferation and differentiation. Ras (purple) is activated by the exchange of guanosine diphosphate for guanosine triphosphate. Once active, the Ras protein amplifies the signal from the EGFR via the MAPK pathway.
