Description
This animation is a cross-sectional view of the interaction between a B and a T cell, two primary agents in adaptive immunity. The B cell (blue) presents an antigen to the T cell (pink) by displaying parts of the antigen, called peptides, on its surface. Following this, the B and T cells form ligands, activating both cells to proceed with the appropriate immune response.
